Beta Launch - First Impressions

Posted Wed, 14/10/2009 - 09:48 by Jon@AccountsPortal

So the Beta Launch day has come and gone - the months of planning, late nights and early mornings have finally come to fruition.

We went for a relatively low key campaign to get the word out there, but the response has been fantastic and exceeded our expectations - both in terms of the numbers signing up and the feedback received.

Invoice Enchancements

Posted Mon, 19/10/2009 - 13:37 by Jon@AccountsPortal

Thanks to a suggestion in our forums, we have released some new features for printing invoices to PDF or sending them via email:

1. An option to choose whether or not you want to print the header logo and address. If you are printing on your own letterhead, for example, then you may wish to turn this option off.

2. An option to choose whether or not you want to print the company's registered information in the footer. This includes the company's legal/registered name, place of registration, registration number and registered address.

3. You can now specify the company's Place of Registration as a seperate field under registered address.

All of these options can be found in the Settings > Organisation tab.

Lots of extra features coming!

Customer Statements

Posted Tue, 27/10/2009 - 14:15 by Jon@AccountsPortal

We have just released a new version of AccountsPortal which allows customer statements to be generated and printed.

You can access this from the Customers/Suppliers view - select a customer and then click the "View Customer Statement" button. As well as showing a line-by-line summary of each transaction between the dates specified, you can also view the aged receivables brackets for the selected customer.

You can also print the statement to PDF by clicking the Print button. Note that the PDF will inherit the Invoice Options specified in the Organisation's settings - i.e. you can toggle the header and footer section on or off, and print custom text at the bottom of the statement (such as your bank account details).

We will also be releasing functionality to send statements to customers via email in the near future.
