Unless I missed it, it does not appear possible to delete a Customer/Supplier.
This has been implemented in version 0.22.
You can now delete a customer or supplier, as long as there are no transactions (including deleted transactions) that include that customer or supplier.
You are right, there is no way to do this at the moment. Should be out by the end of this week.
