It's been a long time coming folks, but you can now enter negative line items on invoice and credit notes. This means that offering (or receiving) a discount is a snap - just enter a new line item on your invoice and set set the unit price to a negative amount.
Once you have added in the negative item, the invoice total will adjust accordingly.
